Flame Hardening

Flame Hardening is a localized heat treatment process where gas and oxygen are combined and applied to selected metal surfaces of carbon and alloy metals (typically steels and cast irons) followed by an appropriate quenching method. This unique process results in the selective hardening of the metal surface, allowing for a longer life of the part and less wear on the machine.
